This review is my opinion and that of my children. We are not paid in any way shape or form for this review.
I received the Book "I Can Do It" in the mail and I have to say I seen the cover and I loved the Illustration of it! My 2 sons right away wanted to sit down and read it.
It has a great message in this book for children to believe in them self. I was reading it to my sons and I had their whole attention when reading it as they couldn't wait to find out what happens next with the characters. Now I have to say that the Character's in this book are just adorable! There is Sammy the squirrel who has a raccoon mask across his eyes. Silly and Sassy who are Sammy's cousins and come for a visit. Bucky who is a Beaver, and then there is Rocky a raccoon. They are just great characters that are easy for a child to grasp and understand.
In "I Can Do IT" Silly and Sassy come for another visit. They are off to have an adventure in the Wispering Willows magical forest. They are going to build a tree house for them to play in BUT Silly is afraid to help because he doesn't think he can do it without getting hurt. Its a magical story of how friends help Silly to over come his fears and they work together as a team. Its a Very positive book for children and I HIGHLY recommend it. My sons have had me read it over to them several times already and it has such an inspirational message to them.
There are worksheets coming for this book in the near future that your child can do to understand the story even more!
There are 2 more books that go along with this book. "I Can Do It" is their 3rd book. The first book is Adventures at Walnut Grove A lesson about teasing. It has the same adorable characters and a very inspirational message about why children should tease each other. (Yes, we own this book and the 2nd book as well. LOVE THEM!)
and the 2nd book is "I DOUBLE DARE YOU"
There are also Lesson plans that your child can do for "I DOUBLE DARE YOU" and "Adventures at Walnut Grove.
I know your child or children will enjoy it as much as my sons do.

I absolutely LOVE that the book has a lesson about believing in themselves. I struggled with that when I was younger and I think a book is a GREAT way to encourage other children.
It teaches self confidence, and the illustration is amazing!
well hehehe my chldren are much to old for this book , but i do have 3 young nephews and although i would not be the one reading it, i am more then certain they would be amazed by the pictures in the book.I myself like the fact it is to the point and not exagerated.
My sons would absolutely love this book. My middle son has learning disabilities, including reading, and I feel that if we were to win a book, it would motivate him to read. It seems there are lots of children who struggle with believing in themselves and need a little more encouragement. I hope whoever wins enjoys. looks like a great book!!!
i love books that give lessons and my boys love to read or have me read to them at least 2 times a day and then again at bed time.
I just love all your answers and I have to say I couldn't agree with each of you more about children struggling with self-confidence and how this book really helps them with that. I also agree it is not exagerated, which when it is really bores the child and the parent. Its done just perfect in this book. :)
